FAQ

There are a lot of questions I am sure you want to ask, so here are the answers. If you don’t find the answer to your question please get in touch and we will be more than happy to help 🙂

Can I view the pictures before I buy them?

Unfortunately no, due to the actions of some people in the past who used what we shared with them on social media, they have spoilt it for the everyone.

But you can view the quality of the pictures taken on the day on social media, usually within one or two days of the show some winners pictures will be shared by the federation so make sure you follow them to see what the photos are like.

How may photos do I get?

The number of individual photos you get does depend on your stage presence and routine and we can’t stress this enough, its the reason posing coaches exist.

Example – T-Walk: You should have a fair few photos if you walked on to the centre cross and posed in a front, side, back, side and front position. But if you walked on stage hit two poses and walked off then you will only get those photos.

Example – Routine: Your routine was well thought out, you stayed on the line or between the crosses on the centre stage and you held the poses for at least 3 second you will have every pose you hit. If your routine was not on the centre cross and you did not hold your poses then we will try and capture as much as we can but it maybe limited.

How long will I have access to my photos?

The photos will be available for 30 days, after that they are removed. You are responsible for backing up your photos to avoid loosing them. If you require us to send the pictures to you again after the 30 days then a £20 admin fee will be charged.

I only got x number of photos?

I can’t open the folder on my phone or tablet?
I strongly advise using computer / laptop and broadband to download your images. If you are using a mobile device  or tablet ( not recommended ) you may have to purchase or download an UNZIP APP to be able to view your images. Unfortunately there are two many different devices and apps for us to provide any technical support for this. On a computer (PC or Mac) its as simple as 3 clicks!
You didn’t capture a pose or an act?

We try and capture every single moment of you on stage but this does depend on your stage presence and routine.

Example: “I don’t have any photos of a double bicep pose I hit during my routine” – This is normally because you did not hold the pose long enough for us to capture it and went straight into another pose or your stage time ran out when you hit the pose.

A newspaper, sponsor, or other company wants to publish your stage photos
No commercial use is permitted without permission from me, Solarfly Photography ( eg: magazines, New papers, sponsors etc ). However you can contact us for permission and we will asses it on a case by case basis.
The link doesn’t work or you can’t download the folder?

This normally happens if you accessing the link from work as some companies will place restrictions on what you can do on the internet. Try downloading them when you are at home or on a different internet connection

I didn’t get an email with my stage photos?

You would have been sent an email to the address you gave us on show day on the Thursday or Friday after the show, if its not in your Inbox please check your Spam/Junk Mail folder its normally in there. If you still can’t find it then there was a spelling mistake in the email address you gave us, so please send us an email and we will send out the instructions again.

I clicked the link and can’t find my photos?

If you followed the instruction in the email you were sent (Change the Sort Order by Clicking on Manual Sort Order and change it to File Name) then this is because Hightail sorts the numbers in a bit of an odd way. All the number 1’s are at the top, followed by 2’s, 3’s, etc. So you will see the folders in the following order:

1, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 100, 101 and so on followed by 2, 21, 22, 23 to 29 and so on.

The category folders are at the very bottom and if you still can’t find your photos please send us an email.

How do I get my photos?

You will receive an email with the instructions. The photos are uploaded to a service called Hightail where you can download them as Jpeg (image files). The link contains all the single shows and group category shots in different folders for you to download. Follow the instructions in the email and find the folder with your badge number and download it and then find the folder with the category you competed in and download that.

Are the pictures printed or sent on a CD?

Its 2025 so no we do not post printed pictures or send out CD’s, you will receive a link to download your single shots and group shots.

When will I get my photos?

Your stage pictures are normally sent 4 to 5 days after the show but can take up to 14 days. For example if the show was on Sunday you would normally get your pictures on Thursday or Friday in High resolution. We no longer send out low resolution photos.

How much will my website cost?

Most websites will cost £500 or £750 for an E-commerce site, but please feel free to contact us for a free no obligation quotation.

Do I get an email account?

Yes we provide unlimited email accounts with every website using your domain name for example [email protected]  This can be accessed online or using POP3 or Imap on your phone and computers.

What is a Responsive website?

Responsive Web Design (RWD) allows your website to be displayed optimally on any device whether it be a tablet or mobile. It allows the website to be re-sized to fit any screen size imaginable. People using a mobile phone to explore the internet in 2014 was almost as many people using a computer or laptop.

Does an old website need updating?

First impressions are important, when it comes to someone looking at your old website and seeing someone else’s brand new website, who do you think they will choose? A visitor will be more interested in your website and exploring it further if it is appealing, easy to navigate and offers the most updated information.

It is more and more common for people to look at websites from their phone or tablet and an old website will not be responsive and display correctly.

Do I really need a website ?

Of course you do, a website is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year online presence of what you do, sell or are. Everyone looks online for what they want now, whether you are self employed, small business or large company people will look for you online.

A website is the best way of showcasing what you have to offer to the whole world and is the best way to be found.
